Promote Information Skills and Information Technology By promoting the development of information skills in all our clients, enable them to become independent, lifelong learners, encouraging the development of critical literacy to become discriminate users of information in all media providing access to and instruction in the use of information technologies which allow users to develop information literacy.
2. Promote Literacy and Literature By fostering the love of literature in a variety of genres, exposing students to many different authors and illustrators and working with classroom teachers to encourage reading.
3. Provide Quality Services and Products ... through access to resources for classroom teachers, school staff and students a research service which includes access to off-site facilities implementing Cooperate Program Planning and Teaching training and development of school staff as well as students and developing the resource collection.
4. Manage Resources and Facilities ... by adhering to a balanced budget, developing an attractive, organised learning environment, maintaining the information network and OASIS library, documenting policies and procedures for the smooth running of the school library.
5. Be involved in Professional Development ... by attending regular activities to develop our knowledge and skills, maintaining membership of professional associations, providing opportunities for the professional development of library staff, classroom teachers and executive."
